With Bikini Season right around the corner, I decided to change up my morning routine with a healthy Green Smoothie. But instead of having a Green-Green Smoothie, I decided to throw in some frozen berries that I had in the freezer. Now I love all kinds of berries but I’ve found that blueberries and raspberries make a great flavor combo. Plus, you’ll get that extra antioxidant boost! From there, I also added in a banana for some natural sweetness and old fashioned oats to keep you nice and full until lunch time.
BERRY GREEN SMOOTHIE
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2
Make-ahead freezer friendly smoothies that are healthy, nutritious and so refreshing for your mornings!
INGREDIENTS
1 cup spinach leaves
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup skim milk
2 tablespoons old fashioned oats
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine spinach, blueberries, raspberries, banana, milk, oats, sugar and 1 cup ice in blender until smooth.
Serve immediately & Enjoy!
