Private Health Fund Rebates
Great News Vixens! Bondi Vixen is registered with Fitness Australia as a reputable Fitness Company which means some Private Health Funds provide Rebates on your membership fees.
With every Private Health Fund providing different services you will need to check with your Health Fund to see if you are entitled to any rebates.
If you are entitled to a rebate please ask the service provider what information they need in order to issue the rebate, some may require an invoice or proof of payment for service. If you require this please contact the admin team via email email@example.com and outline what you need and they will send it through to you as soon as possible.
It’s important to remember that all funds are different! Some funds just require us to be registered with Fitness Australia, which we are, while others may also require Bondi Vixen to register with them directly (just let us know if this is the case with a phone number of the best person to speak to). In some cases a GP referral may be required to indicate that the fitness program is necessary due to an existing health or medical condition.
Importantly a number of funds don’t recognise personal training services, or 24 hour fitness centre memberships.
Finally it’s also important to remember that the amount of a potential refund is heavily dependent on the level of cover held by you, the member, and that holding private health insurance does not automatically ensure eligibility for a refund for fitness service.
Fitness Australia is working hard towards aligning the national Business and Professional Registration schemes with all Private Health Funds. Fitness Australia has produced a position statement for Private Health Insurers. These recommendations seek to inform Private Health Insurers about current fitness industry standards and provide an insight into fitness industry operations that will assist in the development or recognition of existing policies.
Currently the following Health Funds are providing rebates that we are aware of, please note this list is subject to change at any time and the best way to know if you are entitled to a rebate would be to contact your health fund provider.
